Just a few words that have inspired me to do this task. In January of this year I heard an article on the news that the FBI released a report that ISIS was placing over 190,000 propaganda videos a day on the internet. That’s almost 70 billion a year.
I did some research on the internet and could come up with a little over 2300 per day of different types of articles pertaining to Jesus Christ, mostly in people placing songs, ministry reports of preaching and various other clips. This equals to about 840 thousand per year. You can see the difference.
I believe the internet will be around until the day Jesus ends it all, and we, as Christians need to utilize this tool to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
To give an example: about 6 months ago China tried to shut down their internet in an effort to prevent their young people from the exposure to western trends. It lasted about 3 days before the young techs. Found their way around the blockage and then reversed the government block.
We have developed a web site and search engine which catalogs listings of peoples’ personal testimonies in a effort to consolidate the God experiences of the body of Christ in one place.
We have developed a web site that is a search engine and a listing of peoples’ personal testimonies in a effort to consolidate the body of Christ in their experiences with Him.
Testimonies are, at this time, divided into at least 5 different categories: #1 point of conversion into Christianity, #2 miracles that has happened to them or that they have personally been part of, #3 freedom from drug and alcohol addiction, #4 God’s assistance during family crises, #5 How God is working in their lives at the present time.
We feel that these subject matters are pertinent and powerful to present to the world that allows people to know that He is alive and seriously involved in peoples’ lives.
What one must realize it that ‘my story’ may be viewed by someone on the other side of the world, and with today’s language converters, they could help lead someone to Christ and not even know it, ( until Jesus let’s them know).
In giving a testimony, the person’s identity is not revealed or even listed on the internet. In order to keep it real all we ask for is the one giving the testimony to state their first name and then start talking. We ask them not to refer to any city, state or county names. No family names other than relationship ( son, daughter, wife, etc.)
We ask the pastors, ministers, directors of churches or organizations to follow the same rules.
We have a group of Christians that will determine the category the testimony is to be placed in, and if need be, coordinate with each other to refer the video to another group of people that will ‘cut ‘ the video into parts and place them into the needed areas. ( sometimes people will skip around from conversion to miracles to healings in a 10 minute talk. ) then the full version of the ‘skip around’ testimony will be placed on the net in its entirety. At the end of each ‘cut’ clip we have a button that says ‘ to see more of this testimony, click here.’
At this time we have another group of individuals that have committed to answer a call. We have a button that says ‘ I would like to hear more about Jesus NOW)
Once someone enters a little information on a screen that pops up, that request will go out as a text to someone. We have a rotary phone network that if the first line is busy, it will roll over to the next in line; and continue doing so until someone responds.
We have had state wide meetings for a ‘call for prayers’ that will dedicate their time to pray for one’s needs. On the site there is a pop up form that is dedicated to this specific need. We have linked in with prayer groups all over the country to expand this portion of the effort.
This ministry is to edify the body Of Christ through inspiration, regeneration, assistance and strengthen the weak in their time of trouble. We hope that it is an evangelistic tool that will reach far beyond the borders of the USA.
As you can see, once this effort establishes itself, and with the help of God, there is a place for everyone in the body of Christ to function and help spread the hope of Him. From those that give their testimonies, those who categorizes, those that will talk to one that is ready to give their heart, those who will pray for someone’s request, individuals that will help maintain the web site and electronic equipment, etc. all from the privacy of their home or office.
The testimony of Jesus Christ is the power of salvation for me.
I Rev. 12 is says that “ they overcame him be the word of their testimony, the blood of Jesus Christ, and they were willing to give their live to Him in dying.”
We believe this concept is going to give those members of the body an opportunity to DO something for the Lord that they may not have available to them within a church organization. A lot of time some folks feel they are not as gifted or polished as their pastor and remain silent to most, other than a very close circle of family and friends.
The ‘testimony’ is not a onetime event in a Christian’s life. We hope that once someone has yielded to do one, they will do another, then another, then another.
This effort will put the everyday Christians ‘on the spot’. It will confront them to the very core of what they understand their relationship and responsibility to Him is. It is o.k. if one chooses not participate at this time. We know God has the ability to change how a person thinks and acts.
