As we anticipate upcoming difficult times, it becomes obvious that some preparation is simply "good sense."  Spiritual, mental, and physical preparation based on Godly wisdom (not panic or fear) is the order of the day.  So we are proposing a place to start... here are a few topics that may be of interest... and we look forward to your suggestions and input as we go forward.  Remember... what our grandparents did every fall is what we call emergency preparation!

1. Alternative communications- staying connected when phones and internet fail
2. Emergency electrical power- remember that everything stops when power goes down
3. Water- supply and storage
4. Food-production, storage and preparation
5. Security- what happens when you can't call the Police?
6. Shelter, clothing.....

All Biblical Christians know that our mission is to "make disciples of all nations (ethnos.)"  And most of the counsel we've received to effect that goal is to "get them to come to church."   Surely, bringing them to church will expose them to the Gospel of salvation, and the preaching and Bible Studies will "disciple" them into Christian maturity... right?  I have to ask, how's that working?  Perhaps we should note how Jesus and his first century disciples reached the world with a company of ragtag and largely uneducated common folks as they shared life with the hungry masses.   No new "discipleship" programs, evangelical outreaches, master plans... just people full of God's Spirit sharing HIS life because they were full of it.

In Conclusion...
The original mission of Christianbody.net was "Knitting and Netting The Body of Christ Together, and I was powerfully reminded of that recently by the Holy Spirit.  When Jesus' body is healthy and connected, the outreach (and other) ministries are healthy and effective.  So please prayerfully consider these things and touch base as the Lord leads.  I am praying that each person reading this is touched by the Holy Spirit and is empowered to move into "When you gather, Each one,"  I Cor. 14:26.

When I look back at 2023, I'm overwhelmed at the blessing that God has released.  So many new friends, re-acquaintances,  successful campaigns, Holy Spirit inspiration, spiritual growth.  And then the impossible challenges, discouragement, rejection, health... you know he story... every Christian has trials and temptations to overcome.  But we are still learning of God's faithfulness... and it's MORE THAN SUFFICIENT!

THE GREATEST ERA IN HISTORY
I believe we are living in the last times, and every second is revealing "the culmination of all things in Christ."  And, we get to be a part of the last days ministry prior to the returning of OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.   The Holy Spirit is moving over the lands and the warfare for the souls of men is in high  gear.  Angelic armies are moving forth to ultimately remove Satan from power and bring God's Kingdom to bear on the earth.  Join me as we look at some of the works that we may be called and empowered to be a part of in 2024...

iMoving Forward

​Christianbody.net is a coalition of like minded believers who gather around the Biblical revelation of Jesus Christ and stand together in the "oneness" described in John 17.  As we gather, there are some basic premises that become visible:

• That it's all about Jesus, His person, His ministry, His presence, and His precepts
• That He has provided everything needed to demonstrate His life to the world (II Pet. 1)
• That much of this demonstration is through the living Body of Christ
• That this is bigger than a denominational or doctrinal unity
• That "the traditions of man make of no avail the Word of God (Mark 7)
• That we're called to "Radical Unity," which is only in the Holy Spirit
• That when we speak "with One Voice," there is power and authority
• That our enemy hates this "oneness" and does his best to destroy it
• That victory in Christ is assured

Current And Future Resources

Since our goal is to strengthen believers in the faith, and to encourage them into their gifts and callings, we are evaluating some of the things that we have doing for the past 6 years and are considering some additions and changes for the next seasons.  Here are a few that we would welcome your comments on.
Evaluating:

• Advocating and supporting prayer efforts and people in NM and beyond
• Releasing Biblical messaging 24/7 on Christianbody.net and other media
• Maintaining websites and media to help connect and inform folks
• Connecting with many individuals and ministries
• Encouraging and (hopefully) demonstrating unity and focus in the BOC
• Reaching out to 73  countries with the Gospel message

Considering

• Adding our own social media app (think Facebook or Telegram)
• An online prayer wall
• Teaching/training pages on website
• Connecting with other ministries, websites and radio/tv
• More emphasis on "team building" and interaction
• Including healthcare,  gardening, and emergency preparedness (etc.) in programming

There are many biblical principles that have been defined by our traditions and preferences, some resulting in confusion and division in the body of Christ.  I believe that "repentance" is one of these principles that has been reduced to its lowest and least powerful denominator when it is applied only to our behavior.

I remember, as a young believer, the way that my tradition addressed repentance.  It went something like this...  Father, I think I really messed up this time, and the pastor says I need to confess and repent of my sins.  He also said that I need to feel really bad and remorseful or it's probably not real.  So-o-o, I'm confessing that I've sinned, and I feel really, really, really bad about it.  And I'm really, really sorry about it.  So please forgive me and I promise I'll never, ever, ever do it again.

Hmmm.  Pretty powerful stuff, huh?  Of course I'm exaggerating a bit to get my point across, but I think my point is pretty close to home.  In this case, repentance was reduced strictly to a remedy for my poor behavior.  The goal of this exercise was for me to recognize my deviant actions (sins,) agree with God (confess) these sins, ask His forgiveness, and therefore be free (at least until next time) from the consequences of my terrible behavior and have unfettered relationship restored with my heavenly Father.  Not a bad plan... except that repentance is SO much more than fixing errant behavior.

Let's look at the New Testament definition of repentance.  It consists of two Greek words: afterwards + to understand.   Let me switch it around and say it like this; "to understand afterwards."  The  phrase implies that something occurs, and that something results in understanding.   At this point, let me suggest that we look at repentance as a change of our belief system rather than a change of behavior.  If our belief system (understanding) changes, then we can see how we would "change our mind," and "change direction," which are two of our traditional definitions.  Here's an example.  In Acts 9, we see Saul of Tarsus (later Paul the apostle) trying to destroy the new movement known as "The Way."  His belief system consisted of his zeal for God, his extensive education in Judaism, and a fanatical belief that he was God's man of the hour to suppress and eliminate this disease called Christianity by any means.  He is confronted by Jesus, and his belief system is totally changed (read 2/3 of the NT.)  He repented because something occured that caused him to understand.  He was touched by truth (Jesus) and that truth set him free.  

​Paul's belief system was totally changed by his encounter with Jesus, just as mine (or yours) has been.  It is by the revealing (revelation) of Jesus by the Holy Spirit that anyone can change, and it is powerful, transformational and complete.   II Cor. 5 states that we are "a new creation" in Christ... old things have passed away, behold, all things are new.  How many times have we heard “pull yourself up by your bootstraps,” or “you just need to work harder to overcome your sin,” or “cowboy up… get tough, you can do it.”  When we tire of "trying to perform," and ask God for HIS revelation, then God gives us HIS power of transformation as we believe HIS testimony about HIMSELF and US.  We can focus on HIS righteousness rather than OUR sins, and BE TRANSFORMED!  Oh, and yes, our behavior will change as well...

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS
​There is a wealth of info online about the creation science aspect, so I'm going to focus on the eyewitness part. 
​My Personal Experience
​I looked (objectively) through my life experiences for "evidence" that God is real.  From my first encounter with God 35 years ago on a snowy highway, where HE miraculously delivered me from an impossible situation when I prayed something like "God, if you're real, get me out of here."  He then spoke to me directly, and told me three things.  First, He told me that He knew my name, next that He loved my without any conditions, and third that I would have to give up everything if I wanted to follow Him.  After examining "the evidence" for a couple of weeks, I decided to follow Him, regardless of the cost.  He taught me that the blood of Jesus cleansed my sin and that believing on Jesus established my eternal relationship in God's family... that I was considered a son of God.  Wow... this wasn't just some philosophy or doctrine... it was real!

​From that point in time, there were many miracles and much revelation, as the Bible came alive and as I witnessed God's works and power.  I personally witnessed many physical and emotional healings, demons being cast out, people being set free from addictions and terrible life situations.  These were real!  I saw them with my own eyes!  And have seen these changes being confirmed through the years in folks that I know personally.  God was (is) alive and active in the affairs of men in THIS world, presenting Jesus to the world by HIS Holy Spirit!

​The Experiences of Others
​If my experiences were the only ones around, I'd need to consider (if I remained objective) that perhaps I was having some kind of mental breakdown or psychotic episode.  Maybe too much pizza or some mind altering drug.  But similar eyewitness accounts exist from millions of others around the world.  People are being added to God's family, healed, delivered from addictions and demonic activity, experiencing the love of a perfect Father, learning to love one another and walk together as God's family.  There are many accounts of people all over the world seeing visions of Jesus inviting them into His kingdom.  The Holy Spirit is pursuing the hearts of people and speaking to them just as he spoke to me on that snowy highway years ago.  In the court of law, the testimony of witnesses along with physical evidence determines the outcome of the trial.  Therefore, take these "stories" to heart.  God may be speaking to you through the testimony of His people.



How Do We Judge These Things
Romans 14 says that the kingdom of God is Righteousness, Peace, and Joy in the Holy Spirit.
​Galatians 5:22ff states that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control... the works of the flesh are immorality, impurity, indecency, idolatry, sorcery,enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, divisions, envy, murder, drunkenness, etc.
​John 10:10 the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.  I (Jesus) came that they may have life, and might have it abundantly.

​I know that personal testimonies are very important in God's kingdom, but we should look at them carefully.  Do they lead us to life and Godliness, or do they promote death, domination and despair?
Deuteronomy 30:19  I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses:  therefore, choose life, that you and your descendants may live and love the Lord your God.
