Good morning, blood bought saints! Have you ever experienced a situation in your life where you were talking with a person, tensions arose in your conversation and the person says," talk to the hand" and they hold up their hand? There is something about talking to the hand which is like a slap in the face!
The Bible has many admonitions about God's people seeking His face. As you have probably heard this modern cliche,"seek God's face and not His hand." God has a face? What does He look like? Does He have wrinkles on His face? Is that why the Bible calls him the ANCIENT of days? Does God have laugh lines around his eyes? Does God have a furrowed brow? When the Bible talks about seeking His face it is not about SEEING His face but SEEKING His face. The Word says," no man has seen the Father at any time... For the Father is enveloped in unapproachable Light." So, what does Bible mean when it says" seek my face?" In Psalms 27:8 King David writes," When you said,"seek my face, My heart said to you," your face, Lord, I will seek." The Psalmist David knew that seeking the face of God will bring, direction for one's life.
