Good morning, blood bought saints!   Have you ever experienced a situation in your life where you were talking with a person, tensions arose in your conversation and the person says," talk to the hand" and they hold up their hand? There is something about talking to the hand which  is like a slap in the face!
 
The Bible has many admonitions about God's people seeking His face. As you have probably heard this modern cliche,"seek God's face and not His hand."   God has a face? What does He look like? Does He have wrinkles on His face? Is that why the Bible calls him the ANCIENT of days? Does God have laugh lines around his eyes? Does God have a furrowed brow? 
   
When the Bible talks about seeking His face it is not about SEEING His face but SEEKING His face. The Word says," no man has seen the Father at any time... For the Father is enveloped in unapproachable Light." 

So, what does Bible mean when it says" seek my face?" In Psalms 27:8 King David writes," When you said,"seek my face, My heart said to you," your face, Lord, I will seek." The Psalmist David knew that seeking the face of God will bring, direction for one's life.

As we’re preparing to launch My Story, I felt the Spirit was showing that these testimonies are bullets and we are to call upon prayer folks to pray by the Spirit, when the bullets are fired, where they land, and what they accomplish when they strike the target.  What are you seeing?
BRIAN’S RESPONSE
Testimonies are very powerful indeed!  How can a person refute what has transpired in ones life’s experiences!  Testimonies can be like “group therapy” in a way.  So many people have deep, deep hurt issues that have not seen the light of day.  But, if testimony is shared and one person reads or sees that testimony and identifies with it, and Jesus is introduced as the solution, wow, that life can be changed forever, either through the new birth or giving the hurt to the Lord for forgiveness.

Time to diligently seek The Lord.

There is a passage of Scripture found in 2Chron. 12:1 that states" that when king Rehoboam had established the kingdom that he forsook the Law of The Lord and all Israel with him."

It was required of Kings to write out the Law of The Lord so that they would be familiar with the requirements of how the King ought to govern God's people. When King Rehoboam became "lukewarm" in his commitment to seek God's direction, the people followed the same lukewarmness as the King.

We have heard the cliche, "as the leader goes, so goes the people." How true this is. For we see this in some of the Body of Christ today. If the leaders of Christ's Body do not seek diligently His face, we will be led by the ways and principles of the world. No longer will the Spirit of The Lord tolerate such lukewarmness from His leaders for there will be a purging and Jesus will give leaders to His Body who will feed His Flock with a true and righteous Rhema Word.

I fear and tremble when I read Jer. 23 and Ezek. 34.... Where The Lord pronounces a judgment upon the lazy shepherds of that day, He was going to remove and install His true shepherds after His Heart. It is now time to prepare our hearts before Jesus and hear His voice. First of all, pray for the leaders of His Body, for the enemy is wanting to smite the shepherd to scatter the flock.

Secondly, as we hear the voice of The Spirit, be obedient to carry out what He wants YOU to do. There is safety in obedience to His Word... but a fear comes when we lean to our own understanding and follow the doctrines of men or the Principles of the world. Beloved of God, spend quality time with the lover of your soul today, your life in Christ depends up it!

THIS IS PART OF A TEXT CONVERSATION BETWEEN BRIAN AND GROVER WHICH STARTED ABOUT 4 AM SUNDAY MORNING...

Grover:  Hey Brian, I just read the Repentance From Dead Works sermon and would like to place it on your blog for discussion.  Is that OK by you?

Brian:  Sure.  I was truly blessed with the article!  What about you?

Grover:  Oh yeah!  It’s refreshing to have your armor polished with a word that isn’t purposed to please flesh.  Only one thing determines if it’s dead works or fruitful labor. Whether it’s done in faith!  The last paragraph asks “are you relying (trusting) on dead works?  Is it purged?  Trust = Faith.  Without faith it is impossible to please God.  What do you think?

Brian:  The hip, modern definition of insanity is “doing the same things you have been doing, EXPECTING a different result.”  Dead works are just that… DEAD.  I believe the key to getting out of dead works is… Hearing the voice of the Lord.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  Assuming to know the will of God and using our carnal minds without hearing the Rhema Word will inevitably lead to Dead Works.

Brian is currently spending some time with the Lord, but I received a text today from him saying that this sermon by Richard Owen Roberts is complementary to Andrew Stroms book "The Sinners Prayer, Fact of Fiction which some of us studied as a community.  Brian also cited 2 Chron. 7:14 and Heb. 6:1-2 concerning foundations.  Preparing the heart and capturing random thoughts as well.   You can listen to the sermon on www.sermonindex.net if you prefer.   Blessings, Grover
