I just have to say a great big AMEN to this. As Americans, we are privileged (and responsible) to engage in the political process, but all this hate speech? According to II Chron. 7:14ff, politics isn't the only problem here, the church is---. J. Lee Grady is (was) the editor of Charisma Magazine, and has really been bringing some balance in some of the Christian issues of the day (IMO.)
Edith told me that in the election of 2008 (she was one of the election judges) that many of the "Christians" that voted were the meanest spirited and most hateful of all the voters. Hmmm --- great witness there, huh? She isn't looking forward to this election. Please pray --- we're really concerned about this one. IIChron. 7:14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Here's the article: "JESUS Looks BEYOND POLITICS" -extracts by J. Lee Grady. People didn't vote in ancient Israel, nor did they put "KICK THE ROMANS OUT!" bumper stickers on their chariots. But there was plenty of political anger seething in Palestine, even without Fox News, CNN and MSNBC around to stir the pot.

AuthorI'm setting up this forum with some fear and trepidation, as the political issues are so charged with emotion. This forum is a place to put insight that the Lord might provide, prayer for our country/state/etc. and constructive comments. If it gets beyond that, I will remove it.
