“Many are called, but few are chosen.’’ Matthew 22:14 We read verses like this in the bible, but, when are we going to ask ourselves the question? Who are the called, and who are the chosen? Obviously, there is a difference between the two. To call someone, means to speak to them, to alarm them, to beckon, or get there attention, or interest. To be chosen, means to be personally selected, or picked out, to be carefully examined for a task base on quality of character. There is a quality characteristic in Christian living in God, not for God. Many of us who heard the call of God, and the beckoning of God, to get our attention believe that is all it is to it. The call of God, is the beginning, to get our interest, and our attention on Him, and what He has already done for us. But to be chosen of God, is to be carefully selected, and examined by God, in an on going process, that can be completed in hard times Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. Whoa!!!!!!!! You want find people preaching on that. Our furnace is to die to self, that is a very hard thing to do, because self is in love with self. That is why self must die, yes it must die!! So that God can come alive in us. Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. I can actually be chosen, not by doing things for God, but when I die to myself, and allow God to do things thru me. Can you believe that, that my refining from God is to get rid of anything I think I can do for Him in my own power, or intellect. My flesh hates God, and His ways, God did not come to save my flesh, He came to help me die to it, so I can be alive in Him, and die to all my ways, my way of thinking, my way doing things, my way of seeing, my way of saying things. Refine us Lord, refine us. If you are not ready to give up your life, you are not ready to be one of the chosen ones. Check out Matthew 16:25 Mark 8:35 Luke9:24 . What is God asking for? For us to be under house arrest, and the Holy Spirit to now be the legal guardian of the house. Are you willing to be the chosen of God, and not just the called? I AM, AND I WILL BE Hallelujah!!!!!!!
