What Case does He have against you? Isaiah 3:13 The Lord takes his place in court and presents his case against his people. Jeremiah 2:9 Therefore, I will bring my case against you,” says the Lord. “I will even bring charges against your children’s children in the years to come. Jeremiah 25:31 His cry of judgment will reach the ends of the earth, for the Lord will bring his case against all the nations. He will judge all the people of the earth, slaughtering the wicked with the sword. I, the Lord, have spoken!’” Hosea 4:1 [ The Lord’s Case against Israel ] Hear the word of the Lord, O people of Israel! The Lord has brought charges against you, saying: “There is no faithfulness, no kindness, no knowledge of God in your land. Micah 6:2 And now, O mountains, listen to the Lord’s complaint! He has a case against his people. He will bring charges against Israel. Romans 3:4 Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.” 1 Peter 2:23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. 1 John 2:1 My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. What is a case case1 [kās] NOUN

"the accusative case" For this discussion we be focusing on definition number 3. A legal action, especially one to be decided in a court of law. What happens in court? Most trials go through four stages: ■ Stage 1 — Opening statements by the lawyers for each side in which they describe to the jury their view as to what is involved in the case. Remember, what the lawyers say is not evidence. It is their own version of what the case is about and what they think the evidence is. ■ Stage 2 — Presentation of evidence generally consists of word-of-mouth testimony of witnesses, a variety of documents and physical evidence. ■ Stage 3 — Lawyers’ closing arguments to the jury to summarize what they think are the most important and favorable points for their side. Again, their statements are not evidence. ■ Stage 4 — Judge’s instructions to the jury as to the law. The judge will indicate the issues the jury should decide and explain the process of deliberation. (http://www.courts.maine.gov/maine_courts/superior/jury/handbook/trial.html) Stage 5- The verdict( and punishment depending on the verdict) If we follow this template in the verses I showed you above it will paint a picture that should open your eyes and convict your heart. Let's start with the opening argument and evidence Presentation. Isaiah 3 Verses 1-12 The Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will take away from Jerusalem and Judah everything they depend on: every bit of bread and every drop of water, 2 all their heroes and soldiers, judges and prophets, fortune-tellers and elders, 3 army officers and high officials, advisers, skilled sorcerers, and astrologers. 4 I will make boys their leaders, and toddlers their rulers. 5 People will oppress each other-- man against man, neighbor against neighbor. Young people will insult their elders, and vulgar people will sneer at the honorable. 6 In those days a man will say to his brother, “Since you have a coat, you be our leader! Take charge of this heap of ruins!” 7 But he will reply, “No! I can’t help. I don’t have any extra food or clothes. Don’t put me in charge!” 8 For Jerusalem will stumble, and Judah will fall, because they speak out against the Lord and refuse to obey him. They provoke him to his face. 9 The very look on their faces gives them away. They display their sin like the people of Sodom and don’t even try to hide it. They are doomed! They have brought destruction upon themselves. 10 Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned! 11 But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve. 12 Childish leaders oppress my people, and women rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you; they send you down the wrong road. Then God rendered His judgment in verse 14-15 13 The Lord takes his place in court and presents his case against his people.[a] 14 The Lord comes forward to pronounce judgment on the elders and rulers of his people: “You have ruined Israel, my vineyard. Your houses are filled with things stolen from the poor. 15 How dare you crush my people, grinding the faces of the poor into the dust?” demands the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. We see a similarity in Revelation in how the seven churches are addressed. To the Church of Ephesus God says "I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don't tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not, You have discovered they are liars. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting. But I have this one thing against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first. Then He says repent or I will remove your lamp stand. To Pergamum He said 13 “I know that you live in the city where Satan has his throne, yet you have remained loyal to me. You refused to deny me even when Antipas, my faithful witness, was martyred among you there in Satan’s city.14 “But I have a few complaints against you. You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam, who showed Balak how to trip up the people of Israel. He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin. 15 In a similar way, you have some Nicolaitans among you who follow the same teaching. 16 Repent of your sin, or I will come to you suddenly and fight against them with the sword of my mouth. To Thyatira He says 19 “I know all the things you do. I have seen your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance. And I can see your constant improvement in all these things.20 “But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman—that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet—to lead my servants astray. She teaches them to commit sexual sin and to eat food offered to idols. 21 I gave her time to repent, but she does not want to turn away from her immorality. 22 “Therefore, I will throw her on a bed of suffering,[c] and those who commit adultery with her will suffer greatly unless they repent and turn away from her evil deeds. 23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve. To Sardis He said I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. 3 Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief. To Laodicea He said 15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. I know this is a lot to take in but there is more. God says to each church that those who are victorious He will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God. To those who are victorious He will give manna that has been hidden away in heaven. He will also give a white stone that will be engraved with a new name that is only understood by the one who received it. To those who are victorious He will give authority over all nations. They will have the same authority given to Jesus by His Father; He will also give then the morning star. All who are victorious will be clothed in white and He will never erase their names from the book of Life and He will announce before the Father and angels that you are His. All who are victorious will be pillars of the Temple of God and will never have to leave. He will write His name on them and they will be citizens in the city of God. He will also write His new name on them as well. And those who are victorious will sit with Jesus on His throne just as Jesus who is victorious sat with His Father on His throne. My question is what case does God have against you? Will He find something as He did with Israel and the 5 churches that needs to be addressed. Or will He find you victorious. Know your case before it is presented to the judge because once you are in the court it is to late. There are no appeals in God's court. Everything contingent to our case has to be done while we are yet living. You will hear well done or depart from me I know you not. The answers to the book of life are not in the back of the book. The answer is in your grasp. Turn to Yahshua while you still can. He your defense attorney if you have accepted Him. How can someone who has no court experience represent themselves. Especially knowing the Yahshua has never lost a case. You don't have to face the accuser alone. Yahshua dropped the charges when you came to Him. But if you have not come to Yahshua the charges still stand. We must live worthy of our calling empowered by Him who gave it to us. Let it not be said you had everything you needed but refused to use it. Let not be said that you used what given to you but it was not authorized. Ignorance of what you have is worse than not having authorization. Stand up check the record that proves who you are and what has been given to you as a result.
